Nominator's project description
| Dr. Mittal received the Humboldt Research Award for his pioneering work in the field of radiation and laser chemistry. His original contributions range from fundamental studies on the microscopic dynamics of photochemical reactions in the gas- and liquid-phase to applied research in radiation chemistry, biology and medicine. In Heidelberg the microscopic dynamics of the photolysis and reactions of vibrationally excited water molecules will be studied while in Berlin the dynamics of photoinduced surface reaction processes will be investigated. |
